Skäggtomtar – Swedish Christmas Gnomes

The Skäggtomte is the original design behind Åsas Tomtebod. Created by Åsa Götander in the early 1990s, it is characterized by its hand-felted wool hat, prominent nose and natural sheepskin beard, with no visible face.

Each Skäggtomte is handmade from natural materials including wool, wood and sheepskin. The collection comes in two sizes and several colours, with beards made from either Gotland or Icelandic sheepskin.

The distinctive Skäggtomte design has been at the heart of Åsas Tomtebod since 1993 and remains one of our most recognizable Swedish Christmas gnomes.
